Nestled near the foothills of Cove Mountain, Wears Valley Social brings people in from far and wide to eat great food, check out arts and crafts, and chat it up. Designed as a food truck park and arts and crafts fair all-in-one, this space allows the culture of Sevierville, Tennessee, to shine through day after day. The art vendors and food trucks rotate out regularly to keep you on your toes and come back for more.
There are no less than five food trucks on-site on any given day, ready to serve up everything from boiled peanuts and ice cream to smoked meats and tacos by the boatload. You’ll want to take a quick walk around the park to read all the menu boards before you select between the options. Otherwise, you might catch sight of your favorites well after you’ve filled up your belly to the brim.
Fortunately, if that happens, all you have to do is lazily walk along all the arts and crafts booths until your hunger returns. Talented Sevierville artists show up regularly to sell their latest creations, including paintings, jewelry, and pottery. You never really know what you’ll come across as you explore all the artistic items up for sale.
If you’re lucky, you’ll even get a chance to hear live music from local performers. You can then sit back and relax as you listen to all their latest works. Of course, chatting with all your friends, family, and neighbors is another option and a great way to spend a few hours out of the house. You may even talk long enough to work up a big appetite and get to go for another round at the food trucks.
Most popular food trucks at Wears Valley Social Food Truck Park include:
Poynor’s Pommes Frites
If you love hot fries, then a trip to Poynor’s Pommes Frites is a must. This extraordinary food truck fries up potatoes golden brown and then tops them with all the fixings, including cheese, bacon, and jalapeños. Beyond that, they have bratwurst, schnitzel, and corn dogs, so you can build a meal to remember.
The Mac Truck Foods
When you’re in the mood for fresh Gulf seafood, there’s no better place to go than The Mac Truck Foods. They have baskets full of the fan favorites, like Mahi Mahi, shrimp, oysters, scallops, and grouper, plus a single side of your choice. You can also go with a tasty seafood sandwich topped with lettuce and tartar sauce or stick to the land with crispy chicken tenders.
Allyson’s Chimney Cakes
Allyson’s Chimney Cakes always serve as the perfect dessert for any food truck meal you get. The Plain Chimney Cake comes grilled to perfection and completely covered in rich cinnamon and sugar. If that’s not enough, then get it as a cone with a chocolate truffle in the bottom plus soft-serve ice cream and strawberries galore.
Even if you cannot stuff another bite into your mouth, you must end your visit with a stop at Doug’s Boiled Peanuts. These delectable salty treats promise to delight you and have you planning a trip back before you step foot out of the parking lot. You can get plain salt flavor if you wish, but the real magic is spicy peanuts. Doug is only on-site on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, however, so plan accordingly.
