"Our family of 5 loved staying at the Shady Creek Cabin! The cabin itself feels like a getaway with lots of space, a play room loft, sunrooms, 2 porches, a hot tub, a fire pit, and a mountain stream just past the back porch! The kids loved wading into the cool water and balancing on rocks; the adults enjoyed the tranquility of listening to the rushing water while relaxing in the hot tub. The spacious cabin can comfortably fit 10 guests. The floorplan has 2 master suites (1 has a king bed the other has 2 built in full beds) with each having a large en suite bathroom as well as an adjoining sunroom with access to the back porch (each sunroom has a twin bed with trundle). The playroom upstairs can entertain children from toddlers to teens and has an adjoining bedroom with 2 built in twin beds. Additionally, there is a fully furnished kitchen and half bath with full sized washer and dryer. I also spotted a pack-n-play in a closet if needed. <br/>The shady Creek cabin is aptly named as the shade provides a continuous respite during the summer months. It was never uncomfortably warm by the cabin even though it felt very hot just down the road.<br/>Shady Creek Cabin is about 30 minutes from the sugarlands visitor center (the main entrance to GSMNP), 20 min from the main strip in Gatlinburg, and less than 10 minutes from the Greenbrier entrance which has some hiking and a beautiful mountain river. <br/>We had a battery failure with our key code one night and Elk Springs sent a technician to fix it asap. "

Host Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.
Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Extremely clean and inviting.. guest services were very quick to respond to my questions we d and even asked is there was anything they can do to make our stay more comfortable absolutely perfect for our 30yh wedding anniversary... Will definitely book them exclusively next time..can't brg enough..

Mini Vacation
My stay with this vacation rental was really good. Me and my family all had a wonderful time. Loved the fact that it was partially secluded. Would recommend
Great Location But Not The Cleanest Cabin
The location was great it is directly on the creek. About 30 minutes to all things "Gatlinburg"! It has a gameroom and nice size bathrooms! Very easy to get to! You can hear the creek running as soon as you get out of the car! However, the cabin is not the cleanest! The night stand looked like it had not been wiped down in a while. When we took the trash bag out there was trash in the bottom of the can, that had been there a while. I didn't want to sit on the couch or chairs. Once I saw one of the chairs had crumbs etc under the cushion. Toliet was loose, shower light was out. We wiped down our bathroom etc. They did bring us more towels once I called them but they don't provide towels and washcloths for everyday. They expect you to wash and dry towels etc. Overall loved the cabin but it needs a deep clean and some TLC. The ladies with Elk were always nice and pleasant though!

Overall cabin was great could use a deep clean on the stove top and grill. Master bedroom TV didn't work but not a deal breaker. Home is cute and comfortable creek in the back made for a relaxing evening on the deck.
