Host Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.

Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Beautiful And Spacious

The cabin was beautiful scenery, and the cabin was very clean and decorated nicely. My family and I were very satisfied with our experience there. The technicians came very quickly when we had issues. The staff and team were very nice and efficient. The only thing was I did not know about bringing the following items: coffee filters, extra paper towels (they only supplied one roll), extra toilet paper ( they only supplied one in the bathroom on the main level), extra trash bags (they only supplied the one in the trash can in the kitchen), the sleeping downstairs was a problem and was very cold for the kids ( this is where the bunk beds are), You were instructed to turn the heat up real high upstairs in order to heat the downstairs, this made it very hot in the bedroom upstairs. Finding a way to adjust the heat to be comfortable was an issue. Otherwise, it was a beautiful property. Just bring extra blankets for the downstairs.

Cabin Comfort Minus Hotel Amenities

We truly enjoyed our stay at Basswood Lodge. The area was beautiful and the cabin was comfortable. We assumed we’d be able to stay in touch with family via cell phone but the location prevented a viable signal so we rarely could call or text anyone, including Elk Springs admin. There were no tiny little shampoo bottles which would have been helpful, as I did not travel with any on the airplane. Our hotels on either end of our 3-day cabin stay provided those but I never thought we’d need them in the cabin. We wish there was a way to donate unused grocery products as we had to throw out food we never opened since our stay was short before we flew out. Perhaps admin could provide a donation station in town?? We were grateful for such attentive customer service from Elk Springs staff. Everyone was polite, professional, and attentive from the time I made the booking to our check out day.
