Pigeon Forge has become well-known as a premier family-friendly destination in the heart of the Appalachians. This cozy mountain town offers a ton of amusement, as well as stunning landscapes, for people of all ages. Gatlin’s Mirror Maze is an excellent example of that.
Gatlin’s Mirror Maze is located in a high-attraction neighborhood on the south side of the West Prong Little Pigeon Forge River. Its neighbors include the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel and Arcade City, as well as several outstanding restaurants. So if you are looking for a good place to spend the full day with the family or with friends, then consider this district, and we are sure you will find Gatlin’s Mirror Maze as the big highlight.
Pigeon Forge’s Gatlin’s Mirror Maze is so great because it has so many exciting activities at its location. Plus, there is a really immersive theme. As its name suggests, stepping inside Gatlin’s Mirror Maze feels like stepping ashore on a hidden tropical island. This is a full-on immersive experience with a storyline that starts when you open the doors. This story begins with you and your party shipwrecked on an island, and your party needs to explore the mystical island to have fun, search for hidden treasures, and ultimately find a way out.
There are four big experiences that visitors to Gatlin’s Mirror Maze can choose from. Visitors can opt just for one of the following experiences or enjoy a discounted rate for access to all four of them.
Those four experiences are as follows:
Mirror Maze
The Mirror Maze was the first big attraction of this Pigeon Forge entertainment business. This massive, walk-through maze spans an incredible 3,000 feet and features infinite psychedelic reflections, tons of continuous circles, dead ends, and surprising corners that will keep your party guessing on the right way out.
Virtual Reality Arena
The virtual reality arena is also called the Atomic Rush and offers families and friends to challenge each other in a high-tech environment. Here, you can compete against members of your party via interactive games, or play together to overcome the challenges.
Laser Maze Challenge
This is a James Bond-style experience in which participants have to jump, crawl, climb, and twist their way through a laser obstacle course. Break through one of the lasers, and you’ll hear an alarm ping and see points detracted from your score. Your goal, if you choose to accept it, is to navigate these sensitive lasers and get to various checkpoints as quickly as possible.
Bumper Cars
What’s not to like about a little bumper car action? This is a relatively new addition to Gatlin’s Mirror Maze location, but it nicely rounds out all the running and wandering adventures with some fast-paced, high-thrill race car rodeo.
Insider Tips:
-When you purchase the Maze attraction, whether alone or as part of the four-attraction discount, you will get a 10-day wristband that means you and your family can revisit the maze at any point they are open in those ten days at no additional cost. Because of this big added benefit, it is a smart idea to go to Gatlin’s Mirror Maze at the beginning of a long vacation. That way if rain or other things change your plans later on, you will have this attraction to fall back on (especially helpful for those with older children and teens eager for more active engagement
-If you are traveling to Pigeon Forge for work or with something like a big family reunion, ask about the available team-building games. These are big group activities that will cost extra and need to be pre-planned, but they can really bring a group together with more competitive and collaborative experiences.
