The Smoky Mountain Brewery brand initially opened one location in downtown Gatlinburg in 1996. However, the brand quickly became popular, and they now have four locations in East Tennessee including the new Pigeon Forge location. The Smoky Mountain Brewery Pigeon Forge location is located in Walden’s Landing Shopping Center, in downtown Pigeon Forge.
As you might have guessed, people primarily visit Smoky Mountain Brewery to try the small-batch local beers. The craft beers are the best you will find in the area, and if you carefully navigate past the dried-out ribs and the pasta dishes, you can find some pretty decent food. (On a side note, if you think the frozen dinners at your local grocery store are awesome, you will enjoy the pasta dishes.)
The following standouts on the menu are worth a try:
Oven-Baked Soft Pretzels with Hot Beer Cheese Dip ($8.75)
They bake the pretzels fresh and make the hot beer cheese dip from scratch.
Brewmaster Pizzas ($6.50 to $20.50 depending on size and toppings)
The fresh-hand tossed crusts are perfectly cooked and loaded with fresh ingredients.
Steaks
The steaks are similarly priced and have an equivalent taste to a chain steakhouse. Hey, that’s pretty good for a brewery!
All of the beers are brewed right on-site and taste amazing. The atmosphere is young, hip, and fun – go here for good beer and average food, and you won’t be disappointed.
Insider Tip:
Order the six-beer sampler for only $6. This gives you the chance to try a good selection of five-ounce glasses for about the same price other restaurants charge you for one 12-ounce domestic.
