Fall Events in Sevierville

SkyLand’s Apple Harvest Festival: September-November 1, 2025

As part of the general admission to SkyLand Ranch, which in and of itself is worth visiting, is the annual Apple Harvest Festival. SkyLand Ranch is one of Sevierville’s most beloved attractions, featuring eateries, miniature animals, live entertainment, exciting rides, and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. This 100-acre farm is situated atop the city.

The Apple Harvest Festival is a seasonal attraction that is part of the fun at SkyLand Ranch. When visiting during this time of year, guests can expect seasonal apple-inspired treats, fall-themed foods, gorgeous mountain views of the vibrant foliage, and live entertainment from the Wild West. During this time of year, classic favorite rides like the Wild Stallion Mountain Coaster, the WagonWheeler SwingTower, and the Horizon Skyride scenic chairlift offer amazing views of the mountains, dressed up for fall.

Haunted Ghost Town: SkyLand Ranch: September 5-November 1, 2025 (select dates 7-10pm)

Also hosted by SkyLand Ranch, their annual Haunted Ghost Town is another fun fall-themed event. Guests will step into the shadows of the Old West at this Ghost Town with its own background story. It is promised to be an event of chills, thrills, and unforgettable fun. Fog-filled walkways, spooky decor, and haunted touches transform SkyLand Ranch into a haunted ghost town for this event.

Although the overall feel is spooky, this fun western atmosphere is still overall family-friendly. Guests will enjoy spooky-themed food and drink, live entertainment playing spooky tunes and haunting encounters with characters like whimsical ranch characters, eerie townsfolk, and ghostly cowboys. There is even a spooky barn projection show in which some dazzling displays come to life. It has a western vibe with a spooky twist.  Reservations are required to experience Haunted Ghost Town at SkyLand Ranch.

Moo’s & Boos takes place at the same time, September 5–November 1, 2025 (select nights 6-7pm). Reservations are required for this event as well. This event is considered a more family-friendly pre-event option to the Ghost Town. It is specifically designed with children aged 12 and younger in mind. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their best costumes (and maybe win the prize) and collect candy all around the ranch in their goody bags. There are even kids’ and adults’ themed treats for the event, along with fun music, and fall-themed decor.

Wears Valley Fall Fest October 17-19, 2025

This year marks the 12th annual event hosted at Wears Valley. The grounds’ 16-acres are filled to the brim with crafts, activities, and food when it hosts the Wears Valley Fall Fest. With over 240 talented crafters displaying their handmade goods, there is something for everyone to enjoy. There are also many foods to try and live performances to observe, along with a petting zoo, inflatables, interactive exhibits, tractor rides, a vintage baseball game, storytellers, a pumpkin patch, and an obstacle course.

Some of the homemade goods include handmade soaps, candles, paintings, woodcrafts, clothing, and essential oils. Festival foods will not disappoint either with their famous “steak on a stick,” caramel and candied apples, grilled corn on the cob, barbecue, and even Italian and Greek dishes. This weekend event is great fall fun for the entire family to enjoy together and make unforgettable memories.

Downtown History & Haunts: October 16, 2025 (6-8pm) Fireworks at 8pm

As mentioned above, Sevierville is known for its historic downtown. This event, the Downtown History & Haunts is a great combination of celebrating and appreciating the history of the city while having some spooky fun. The event includes guided walking tours (spooky versions) for those who want to know more about the history of the town. However, the activities don’t stop there as there will also be lawn games, costume contests, a Halloween dance party, storytellers, and even fireworks to end the night.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their spookiest or most fun costumes for the event. It’s worth noting that the costume contest even has a category for furry friends, the Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest. Starting this year, there is an additional category for dogs, the Best Dog Doppelgänger Costume (dog and owner-coordinated costumes). All dogs must be on a leash to attend. There is no admission cost to attend this fun, family-friendly event, but some activities might have a nominal charge.

Dollywood’s Harvest Festival September 12–October 27, 2025

Although not in the city itself but in nearby Pigeon Forge, it’s worth mentioning Dollywood’s Harvest Festival as Seiverville was Dolly’s beloved hometown. The Harvest Festival at Dollywood can be enjoyed with admission to the park itself, which, of course, has plenty to offer.

The fall additions include impressively carved pumpkins throughout the Wildwood Grove area of the park, along with fall-themed decor all over the park. There are even demonstrations put on by the pumpkin artists to teach guests the techniques involved in producing a perfect pumpkin masterpiece. The Wildwood Tree also tells a harvest story a few times a night. In addition to the harvest-themed additions, Dollywood itself features award-winning rides, shows, and an abundance of food and vendor options for the entire family to enjoy.
