"My siblings and I really enjoyed our stay with ElkSpring Resorts. We stayed at Knocking on Heavens door. The view was beautiful the cabin accommodated for our group. Only thing that was an issue was getting my ford explorer truck up that steep mountain to the cabin. Other than that our host was great and our cabin was beautiful..!"

Host Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to your arrival date a voucher for a future stay will be issued by host in the amount of the deposit less the reservation fee for use for a future stay within 365 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival you will be responsible for the full reservation amount (you will forfeit the full deposit amount and the non-refundable reservation fee, and shall be responsible for the remaining rent amount and all other applicable charges associated with the reservation). Only the Guest named on the Agreement may cancel a reservation and cancellations must be made by phone call to Hosts Office.
Plans can be changed before 14 days prior to the scheduled check in with no penalty. No changes are permitted within 14 days of check in.

Family Get Away

Knocking On Heavens Door
We really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful cabin. It worked out really great for my whole family. It was very close to everything we wanted to visit. The Mountain View is awesome, we loved watching the sunrise and sunset.The driveway was a little sketchy going up and down, but we did okay with the big van we had. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.
Great Place To Stay
The layout of the house is great for big groups! All bedrooms are upstairs. Each has its own full bathroom and large closet space. The driveway was tricky, but that’s to be expected in this area & I had read reviews that set our expectations well on that. Proximity to downtown was good. Beautiful views! Loved the big picnic tables in the kitchen to fit everyone in your group at a table.
Family Get Away
Our family had a wonderful stay at Knockin on Heavens Door. The house was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed having 4 bedrooms with ensuites and the extra full bath downstairs. The movie room and pool table were a big hit. The view from the wrap around porch is one of the best we have ever experienced. Everything about the cabin was exactly as described. We saw bears 3 of the 4 nights during our stay. They were very curious and came right up to our cars and porch - a big highlight for all of us!
Stairway To Heaven
Would recommend you providing trash bags, hand soap, and dishwasher detergent for the number of nights we booked! I’ve never stayed anywhere these items were not provided. Also need to dust the lights over the kitchen table. The picture of the cabin showed another game table that was not at this location. We did enjoy our stay and especially the view!
