"We chose Highlands of the Smokies and this unit specifically due to being owners of a condo in the original Highlands which were destroyed in the Gatlinburg fires. The views in this unit were absolutely stunning and exactly as we remembered. The rates are reasonable. It is tastefully decorated, very well appointed and extremely comfortable. We had an issue with the coffee maker which was addressed quickly and a new one provided immediately. My suggestions would be to add some type of window covering in the living/kitchen area as it is difficult to sit in the glaring sun during the afternoons. Also, the installation of hooks to hang damp towels would be helpful. Even with these suggestions, we would not hesitate to stay again at The Highlands of the Smokies and highly recommend them. "

Stunning Views!

Smokies With A View
This was our second year at the Highlands of the Smokies and we couldn't be happier with our stay. This is a beautiful condo complex situated on a mountain overlooking Gatlinburg. The day and night views are spectacular! The condos are well appointed with high end appliances, comfortable furnishings and beds. It is a great place to stay and the friendly staff is very accommodating.
Absolutely Amazing Experience Returning To Our Home!
We stayed several years at The Highlands prior to the fires and out return to the place that feels like home couldn't have been any better! Absolutely amazing Facilities and room was awesome! We cannot wait to return!!
Wonderful View
We love this location. This was our second visit. Bypass location is ideal. Great space and the view is fantastic.
Back At The Highlands With Friends
After a nine year hiatus, we were so happy to renew our friends trip back at the Highlands. The view and location have not changed. Both are outstanding which is why we love the Highlands! Overall, this is a five star unit. Small, inexpensive details can be tweaked to make our stay perfect: each bathroom only has one hand towel and one roll of TP, there is only one dishwasher detergent packet even though you want us to start the dishwasher at checkout and no tissues. The bathroom vanity lighting is very dim, great for mood lighting but not for getting ready in the morning. And a dining table and chairs would be wonderful in the two bedroom units to eat around and play games. Small annoyances. But will we be back? Absolutely!!
Breathtaking View
Our experience at Highlands of the smokies was exceptional..breathtaking views..excellent accommodations..extremely relaxing
