hemlocke hideaway

We had a great stay at Hemlock Hideaway! It was above our expectations. Every thing including the windows were clean. The suites and sleeping accommodations were great for our party of 12. We enjoyed the ping pong and games. We have stayed in several cabins in the mountains and this is one of our favorites.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! We were a family of 11 and all slept comfortably with more than enough space! The kids loved it. They had their own space away from the adults but within the cabin. The fireplace was convenient and we were able to enjoy smores night! The owners communicated quickly and very professionally.

The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. Lots of space for everyone to hang out peacefully doing different things. The road up there is a little narrow but I figured that's the cost you pay for such a beautiful view.

We had a blast. A family of 9 with 5 kids under the age of 11. Well organized, safe, stocked, everything operational, cozy, homey, close-enough (20ish min to town) with stores 10+min away. Will come back again.

We enjoyed a Labor Day weekend with our 2 children, their spouses and our 5 grandchildren. Everyone had a great time. We never even ventured outside our cabin area.

We arrived and everything was as beautiful as the pictures. The cabin was clean, with plenty of extra towels, sheets, and everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The HVAC unit on the second floor stopped working while half of my family was playing games on the lower level and the other half went grocery shopping. I called the number as instructed, and a nice gentleman walked me through checking the breaker and the thermostat. He asked me to take a picture of the thermostat, and I informed him that the thermostat was not on. He asked me to pull it off the wall, and I did. I took a picture and sent it to him. An HVAC tech came and stated the thermostat had bent wires and that was the reason for the unit not working. Unbeknownst to him, my ex-husband owned an HVAC company in which I helped manage and assist, and I was able to see that the condensation tray was full and the line was frozen. I didn't tell him any of this information because I wanted to hear what hear the explanation from the tech who was coming to do the job. He arrived and was working, and I approached him. I asked what the reason was for the unit not working. I looked down and saw a frozen line and condensation overflow in the tray. We laughed, and he said, "I will have you guys taken care of shortly." He had a great sense of humor, and most of all, his integrity and I thank him for that! Overall, our trip was a great success! I would recommend with a 10/10. Walmart and all the other stores are 20-30 minutes from the location, so plan!
