Eagles Nest, really was!
The property looked better in the pictures. The carpets are way overdue for updating. The house seemed clean enough at first. Then as days went on, we realized this was more and more an exterminator's dream project. On the first night we killed a beetle or two. Then the second night my daughter said she saw a scorpion run off the hot tub. We made the mistake of not believing her at the time. As evenings went on we kept killing more and bigger beetles throughout the house. Then on night five my son spotted a scorpion on a air register. We dispatched that one and found two others before the night was over. All of these were about 2" long. I showed one of them to my daughter and she said, "that's nothing, the one I saw was two or three times bigger"! To top it off, there was something living in the fireplace. Not sure if it was bats or racoons. They seemed to go quiet after dark so we just barricaded the fireplace doors and got a kick out of listening to them chatter now and then. We had one more night to go on the rental, but the scorpions were the last straw. We contacted the rental company and were referred to the property manager. He seemed interested in checking the chimney, but had no interest in the scorpions or bugs in the house. He said we only had one night left and he had no other available units for us. We did go and stay on the strip that night on our dime. We have stayed in Smokey Mountain area cabins before, and were very pleased. This one is in need of a lot of work. The outside is riddled with holes from bees and other critters. Many times at night, there is the sound of scampering critters in the ceiling/roof. P.S. the water smells really bad too!
Not impressed
This cabin seriously smelled of old ashtray. We saw 2 mice, mice droppings in kitchen drawers and counters. Huge ants in the house and the water smelled like sulfur. Air conditioner and dish washer do not work.

Needs Work.
Loved the location of the cabin and amount of room it offered.
But the hot tub and dishwasher were broken. It also has horrible smelling water.
