This first-floor, spacious studio apartment does not allow pets, but special permission might be granted for service animals. Contact the owners to find out for sure. Southern Gem
This aptly-named condo includes a private deck and is conveniently located in downtown Asheville. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably sleeping four. It is situated within the renovated S&W Building, which is a historic location that has been fully restored to accommodate modern guests. Downtown Asheville is right outside the front door with literally everything Asheville has to offer in close proximity. Parking is located in the Health and Human Services parking garage, which is located a block behind the building, so keep this in mind when booking.
Southern Gem also comes with a code for discounted tickets to the Biltmore Estates, which is one of the area’s most popular attractions. This apartment is located within the business district in downtown Asheville, in the heart of downtown. The overall design includes a touch of modern to compliment the old-world feel of the building, creating a desirable look of a historic loft, complete with exposed ductwork, brick, granite, tile, and hardwood floors. There is also an elevator available to further provide assistance to guests.
The S&W Building, where the Southern Gem is located, was constructed in 1928 and featured parapet tiles, green and blue, terra-cotta panels and beautiful arched windows. It was designed by Douglas Ellington who described his design as “a note of gaiety.” This location, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, is still considered Ellington’s most refined Art Deco project.

There are also private scavenger hunts, mini-retreats, and on-site yoga available.
Discounted tickets to the Biltmore Estate are available for guests renting the Huntley Estate. Pets are allowed on this dog-friendly property, but there is a pet fee associated with bringing along a four-legged family member. There is a limit of two dogs for each booking.
